Total Road Guardians (2011-2013)
Total Vietnam has launched a new campaign called Total Road Guardians (TRG) to raise awareness about road safety and position Total as the Number 1 advocate for safe driving practices in the auto industry in Vietnam. This project aims to help save lives by encouraging vehicle operators to drive responsibly.
- Encourage responsible driving through the positive example of “road heroes”;
- Gain the support and endorsement of key opinion leaders from the government sector such as the National Traffic Safety Committee ;
These messages are being delivered through a public campaign using multiple communication channels including radio, print media, outdoor advertising and collaterals such as car stickers.
There is a wide broadcast coverage on the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) & Voice of HCM City People (VOH) radio stations, which includes:
- Selection of one Road Guardian per episode/ week;
- Sharing of motoring and road safety tips;
- A Total corner program in a Q&A format providing technical tips and hints for drivers.
Also in 2013, TRG campaign has been enriched by on-the-ground activities, where key road safety rules and messages have been shown by voluntary teams on the main streets of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
The campaign has been supported by news media and authorities and has attracted an enthusiastic response from audience across the country. More than 120 “Total Road Guardians” have been appointed and 73 percent of radio listeners have been aware of the campaign.
